Noted futurist Gregory W. Harper consistently maintains his position on the “bleeding edge” of new technology.   As President of Cerberus Corp., Harper counsels businesses on the development and implementation of strategies utilizing the latest technology to solve business problems.  Through Cerberus, Harper serves as Senior Strategic Advisor to the Chairman of Trans World Entertainment (TWE), the largest mall-based retailer of music and video in the United States.  For TWE, he has been a key player in the development of digital media strategy including developing systems and strategies for digital media downloading.   As designer of software systems ranging from distance learning systems to digital media production systems, he has been awarded eight US patents in the area of interactive digital video, and has eight other patents currently pending.  He has been a long time technology advisor to leading Wall Street investment banks and private equity funds.  He is also co-founder of the infamous GADGETOFF – “Bringing the Smart and the Useless Together” – which is an annual, invitation-only event in New York City.  It celebrates technical and artistic innovation and is an intellectual salon of the future.  It features innovative technology which has ranged from a personal submarine to lasers cutting chocolate and cheese, and, of course, the latest multi-media devices from Asia. Harper is currently focusing on digital distribution of media, home control/media servers, RFID, wireless personal information devices, video conferencing and rich media.
